Design Nottingham works collaboratively to improve the quality of design in Nottingham. Together we work to raise awareness of the social, economic and environmental benefits of good design. We do this by:

  • Producing development briefs that aim to unlock the potential of sites that are difficult to develop
  • Finding solutions to ensure the viability of site development
  • Providing training workshops and seminars for the public and private sector
  • Undertaking appraisals and reviews of completed development schemes
  • Offering a discussion forum for development professionals
  • Offering guidance on running design competitions
  • Ensuring sustainable and energy efficiency in design
  • Using accredited Building for Life assessors to appraise residential development proposals
