Training and the up-skilling of all those involved in the development process is a key part of Design Nottingham. Events are planned throughout the year and in the past have included:

- Nottingham City Council chosen as a pilot authority to carry out the CABE backed 'capacitycheck' - a comprehensive method of auditing skills.
